To begin with, you may be wondering, "What is this Roojoom you speak of?"
Or maybe not. None-the-less, it's similar to Pinterest but with a lot more utility. I consider Roojooms the rooms in my virtual conservative home. From the founders of Roojoom: "Roojoom’s vision is to fundamentally change the way people read content online. No more endless browsing and losing your way in the web, with Roojoom you can organize content for yourself and others, and inspire readers by leading their way in the web." Go here to see the Roojoom Rooms in my virtual home. With that out of the way, here is my disclaimer: Anything you see here is based on my opinion. At this time I am a committee of one. I take recommendations but the final content is on me which is influenced by my personal beliefs (see the "My Labels" post), some which can change over time. I will update the aforementioned post as needed. Please do your own research even if that means going to a physical library to help formulate your own opinions. What I have provided is based on a plethora of resources, but just because I provide you some links does not make me anymore authoritative than the next Joe with an opinion. So, why bother? I am hoping that something provided here will trigger more than a dismissive "hmmmm...,"and be important enough to you to look into how you are being influenced, and get you start digging for the actual raw truth. I am reminded of one of the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” episode ‘Lie to Me,’ and how it in a way illustrates how we realize we need the truth, but want to run from it at the same time: Buffy: Does it ever get easy? Giles: You mean life? Buffy: Yeah, does it get easy? Giles: What do you want me to say? Buffy: Lie to me. Giles: Yes. It's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true. The bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies and... everybody lives happily ever after. Buffy: Liar. I am no fool and know I have a way to go, and sometimes I am at the point of giving up, believing what is the use of even trying for I have been knocked down so many -too many - times right now, after wiping the dust off and getting up again. Along the line, I will share something personal and raw in a blog post, it is not to garner pity, but to hopefully help others realize that they are not alone, no matter how much the hurt, how deep the strife.
Maybe, just maybe, that it opens up that light at the end of their tunnel, even if it is a pinprick. Even if it is just one person. You may think this is foolish and silly, melodramatic, even pathetic that I share this with complete strangers. That is your prerogative and opinion. I don't know who it will touch, for many of us do not vocalize what darkness they ARE facing in their lives, whether because they do not want to bother any one with it, feel that no one truly cares, don't want to appear weak, viewed as a failure, or any of hundreds of different reasons. The bottom line is, regarding future blog posts, no matter your faith, I ask and hope you will read (or listen if I am sharing a podcast or song) all the way through. Even if you feel the message is not for you at this time in your life, please pay-it-forward; for some one else it very well could be. I have been told we do not know what we are made of, nor are apt to want to discover it, when we are on "top of the mountain." But I firmly believe that it will give some one on the receiving end strength to make it one more day. Mind you, it is not the "feel-good, its all going to be all right as long as you 'yes' to Jesus and pay your tithe" superficial message; none of his recordings are. To me, that is not what will help the lost and hurting. It is condescending, and risks making them believe there is something wrong with them, and decide that "God must not love me" or "God must not exist" because the burdens do not magically disappear, never to come again. It takes effort from the individual to get up again, but one needs to stop, hush, be still and take time to listen and find what he/she is made of, how to go on, how to start over when needed. I strive to remember that God will always walk beside me. He WILL catch me, carry me, when I fall as long as I am willing to reach out my hand to Him. Yet, I am only human, weak to outside influences, and to the natural human condition, as well as insisting I should rely on no one but myself. And I pay the price. Shout out to human extraordinaire, the late, great Dennis J Fontanna of The Adult Church : Thank you, Dennis, from helping me through one of the very darkest point of my life, and enabling me to laugh from the heart again. ~The KellyJaye 07/24/14 First off, as far as labels go, I am a Christian, Conservative, Right-of-the-Middle, upper 40s Midwest divorced mom of three young children. Let the prejudgements begin!
I am far from perfect in my walk of faith, parenting, being a good daughter, being 'healthy,' being reliable, and the list goes on. I do not pretend to even be half-way close to perfect in anything of these things; faking it over any period of time is very tiring. But I do strive to be. And sometimes it is very, very difficult. I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Harris-Stowe University, and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Liberty University. Most recently, I have blogged and posted in spurts on free speech platforms various sites such as Orbys, GAB, MeWe, Parler, Quora, Minds, Wimkin, StreetLoc, and Slug. You can find me as "KellyJaye" or "The KellyJaye." Most of my life, though, has spent working full-time in private business. In my spare time (what little there is these days!), my passion has been supporting Orbys.net, Missouri Precinct Project, ParentalRights.org, Heritage Action, Truth in America Education, and more. I love to research, research, research, and sharing what I find with others. I may be channeling Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes (well, more like Watson). Knowledge is power, and that 'power' is free for all. Unfortunately, for those who are corrupted by that power, would rather control others by various means and the byproduct is that people will not seek the truth themselves. As long as people are convinced they have no time, are not smart enough, it's pointless, etc. then the corrupt will always be in control. See the next post, Welcome! what and why, you ask?, for more concerning this topic. That's about it. Moving on... |
